Referrals

Referrals into First Steps Derbyshire on a professional or self-referral basis as the client chooses.

When someone is referred into the service they will be contacted within 4 working days of receipt of the form. A support worker will contact the client by their preferred method and invite them to attend a one-to-one session before accessing the other services we offer. The support worker will make an assessment and recommend the appropriate care plan as well as signposting to other agencies where appropriate.

We aim to empower the client to be in control of their recovery through peer and group support and inclusion in positive activities. We actively encourage multi-disciplinary working and work closely with other agencies to provide the best support package for clients.
