I've been using the Befriending service for 4 months now and have found it really helpful. I've always found it easier to say things by writing them, especially anything that feels difficult or uncomfortable, so to be able to express some of my thoughts and feelings around food etc by email makes it much easier for me. Having the opportunity to 'try out' saying some things and having an understanding, non-judgemental response in this easier, 'safer' way has started to encourage me to try saying some of these things out loud. I really appreciate the support I get from the service.
